Occupation Info – A clearing house for news, views, analysis, reports, multimedia and history related to the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT). Updated daily(ish) with information from the print and web media, human rights groups, commentators, historians, activists and other information of note and interest to those concerned with the situation in Israeli-occupied Palestine.
The site links to a wide range of news sources, NGO groups and commentators. Don’t be surpised to see (for example) an op-ed piece from The Electronic Intifada right next to one from the Jerusalem Post. While I would generally be sympathetic to the EI viewpoint (far more so than the JPost one!), it’s important to be aware of what the other side is saying. I am not a supporter or member of any Palestinian political grouping, although in a general sense (in Palestine or anywhere else) my sympathies lie with the far-left.
Sometimes I may advertise certain Ireland-o-centric events (speaking tours, solidarity meetings, etc). This being because… I’m from Ireland.
If for some mad reason you want to re-publish any of my jottings, or put my RSS feed on a website then feel free. I’d like to know about it though!.
